Delay on the building code a hindrance to all

Master Landscapers of South Australia (MLSA) CEO Chris Wiltshire directs our attention to an important delay.

Within our industry, there are many rules and regulations that govern the work our members perform. One Code that is very important is the Building Code of Australia (BCA), sometimes referred to as the National Construction Code (NCC). The BCA provides guidance on the construction of building work, including sheds, garages, verandahs, decks, paving, retaining walls and swimming pools.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Exactly where I am! The past couple of years has increased my awareness as to how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world. What do you enjoy doing on the weekends? Not rushing, time with my family, adventures, eating out, seeing a show.

Who is the most famous person you have met? Michael Hutchence – INXS.

Who is the…on your team? Can I include my fur team? Trevor the Pug is the loudest, most annoying & definitely the funniest.

What would my superpower be? If I could channel being the Amazonian warrior Wonder Woman I’d be pretty content.

What makes me feel old? Wondering why that kid driving a car looks 12.

What is your favourite animal? My pooches Phin & Trev – Wombats are a close second

What is your favourite plant? Madagascan Palm

What is your favourite movie? CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) – Won Best Picture at the Oscars – So incredibly clever and funny.

Watson continued that the brothers also have plenty of sales experience to support their affinity for big machines. “We both worked at car dealerships, and for example, I was in sales with Nissan between 2013-2016.”

Joshua Dannatt, General Manager, also bring a wealth of experience to the AM Group businesses. He has working in customer service roles for his entire career, and it is his love for animals that saw the AM Group implement an animal friendly policy, with animals allowed at all sites.

Born in country Victoria, Josh moved to big smoke of Adelaide in his early 20's. He is a passionate Sydney Swans supporter, lover of all sport, and spends his spare time completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Plus, he’s available to support MLSA Members whenever needed.
